Text Exporter turns a chat into a clean, printable record: every message with its date, time and sender, in order and numbered. Make a PDF to print or share, a spreadsheet to sort, or plain text anyone can open. Everything happens on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account. People use it to keep records for custody and co-parenting, landlord and repair disputes, work complaints, insurance claims and family history. An export supports your own records and testimony. Courts and tribunals decide what they accept. IMPORT FROM EACH APP'S OWN EXPORT • Messages: iMessage, SMS and RCS conversations, through a Shortcut that uses the Messages actions Apple added in iOS 26 (iOS 26 required for this import) • WhatsApp: the chat export file, with or without media • Instagram and Messenger: Meta's data download, plus Messenger's "Download message storage data" for end-to-end encrypted chats • Telegram: the JSON chat export from Telegram Desktop • LINE: the .txt file from Export chat history Text Exporter reads only these exports. It does not read screenshots or screen recordings, so apps that offer no chat export are not supported. CHECK EVERY MESSAGE Review the whole chat before you export. Choose which participant is you, so messages never swap sides. Imported messages are never changed. Names, redactions and notes you add sit in a separate layer, and every export lists them. Deleted, edited and missing items are marked, not hidden. EXPORT WHAT YOU NEED • PDF with a cover page, numbered messages, day separators and page numbers • Spreadsheet (CSV) with one row per message • Plain text (TXT) • A full bundle with the original media files • A check file listing every file with its SHA-256 fingerprint, so anyone can see if a file changed (free checker at textexporter.com) • An optional password for the PDF PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Processed on your iPhone. No servers receive your chats. • No account and no third-party analytics • Locked with Face ID or your passcode, and hidden from screenshots (you can change this in Settings) WHAT IT CANNOT DO Text Exporter exports what your phone and each app's export contain. It cannot get back messages that were deleted, and it cannot add times or details the source does not have. FREE TO TRY, PRICES UP FRONT Importing, reviewing and previewing are free. The preview covers the first 100 messages and is marked PREVIEW. Full exports need one of these: • 30-Day Export Pass: one payment, doesn't renew. Every export for 30 days. • Annual Export Plan: renews yearly until you cancel. Every export while it is active. • Lifetime Export Unlock: one payment. Every export, for good. The app shows each plan's price, in your local currency, before you buy. The Annual Export Plan is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically each year unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. The 30-Day Export Pass and Lifetime Export Unlock are one-time purchases and never renew.
