We learn to speak a language by listening, then saying it back. Over and over. Until your mouth moves before your brain does. SayAfterMe is built around that single idea. Built for English, Japanese, and Korean. Every phrase was written for common situations you'll find yourself in, and recorded by native speakers. Rather than learning phrases from flashcards, you play them in a queue on a hands-free timer, allowing you to listen, practise and manage your speaking sessions. — What's in v1.0 — 224 phrases across 8 real-world categories: shopping, travel, restaurant, workplace, social, dating, asking questions, and sharing opinions. Recorded in 8 native voices (US English, UKEnglish, Japanese, and Korean. Both male and female), with translations in your native language sitting just below. A pronunciation deck for each language: English: 28 drills covering every vowel, consonant, cluster, diphthong, and silent letter, with minimal-pair exercises like ship vs sheep and r vs l. 500+ practice words. Japanese: All 106 hiragana, organised into basic, voiced (dakuon), and combination (yōon) groups. Romaji shown alongside every character. Korean: All 39 hangul: basic vowels, diphthongs, basic consonants, and double consonants. Romanisation throughout. — Hands-free interval timer — Set your own interval between phrases or let the timer match each phrase's audio length with the 'Auto' setting. Phrases play, leave a beat for your shadow, play again, then move on. Your hands stay free, your eyes stay on the words. Three playback speeds: 0.5×, 0.75× and 1× — Hear yourself the way they do — Two ways to record. Tap the mic before a Timer session and SayAfterMe captures your shadowing in real time, ready for playback when the queue ends. Or use the standalone Record screen for a single take with live waveform and trim. Recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded. — Save what you'll come back to — Add any phrase, any phoneme, any kana, any hangul to your liked list to keep it close. Build a queue of the things you want to drill this week, save it as a routine, recall it whenever. Liked items, your AI-generated phrases, and imported audio files all mix freely in the same queue. — Generate any phrase you can think of (Pro) — Type something in your native language, hit send, and SayAfterMe generates it in your target language with native-quality voice. Anything you've ever wanted to say in your own language is now available to you at the push of a button. Get 100 generations per month on the Pro plan! — Pricing — Free: 10 phrases per category, basic pronunciation, 10 favourites, 3 stored recordings. Standard (£2.99/month or £19.99 lifetime): all 224 phrases, all 28 English drills, all 106 kana, all 39 hangul, unlimited favourites, unlimited recordings, saved queues. Pro (£9.99/month or £69.99/year save 42%): everything in Standard plus 100 AI generations per month. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
