AutismiHelp vs LDAH

Autism iHelp is a vocabulary teaching aid developed by parents of a child with Autism and a speech-language pathologist. Autism iHelp was inspired by the need for specific language intervention tools for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder focusing on their unique strengths and difficulty with expressive vocabulary. Autism iHelp SAME and DIFFERENT targets fundamental vocabulary building concepts in a variety of formats. While utilizing real-life photographs, this app requires the learner to demonstrate discrimination skills in addition to direct and indirect matching. These skills are crucial for receptive and expressive language as it relates to comparing and contrasting concepts, as well as aiding in just noticing environmental changes. The three games that are included in this app are: finding a matching picture, finding a shadow that matches the picture, and finding the one that is different in a field of 4. “with Autism iHelp…..it gets better.”
