When AVA greets you, click on "AR me" to see her come to life before you and ask her where to eat, play, hike or even create an itinerary. Take the NEW Pioneering Women's Interactive Tour to walk with women who have made local and national history. One of the women now comes to life in augmented reality, Bessie Hale, when you use the app to scan a QR code at her former business. Explore and experience our rich history, woven into every building and step you take as you explore using our interactive tours. Meet our Pioneering Women including Bessie Hale, shown on the intro video, the first Black woman business owner in Albany. Celebrate the history, life and achievements of Albany's Pioneering Women with the state's first Pioneering Women Tour.
