SEAR

SEAR doesn't compromise on the one thing that matters: an interval timer that holds the line — screen locked, backgrounded, even through a phone call. No virtual coach, no pastel dashboard. Just a countdown that doesn't quit. WHY YOU'LL KEEP IT • Rock-solid with the screen locked — the countdown keeps running in the background, survives interruptions (calls, notifications), no drift • Clear cues at every transition — sound, haptics, and optional voice announce work and rest without looking at the screen • Ready-made presets — Tabata, EMOM, Pomodoro, or build your own structure (prepare, work, rest, rounds, sets) • Zero ads mid-session — the banner never shows during a workout, only on the setup screen • Dark by default — built for dark mode first, not as an afterthought BUILD YOUR SESSION Prepare, work, rest, rounds per set, sets, rest between sets — every parameter is adjustable. The timer unpacks your workout into segments and calculates total duration live. MADE WITH CARE • Huge numbers, readable from across the room or the yard • VoiceOver and Dynamic Type up to AX5 • One purchase removes ads for good — no subscription Hit start. Do the work. SEAR doesn't count for you — it counts with you.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OdySight at none against SEAR's 1. OdySight also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). SEAR's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months). On price there is nothing between them.
