Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Yesterday at none against HomeAtmo's 2. Yesterday also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 70%) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). HomeAtmo's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (8 vs 2). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HomeAtmo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Yesterday asks for nothing beyond the download.
HomeAtmo holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of HomeAtmo's written reviews are positive against 100% of Yesterday's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
HomeAtmo ships an update monthly, Yesterday weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
