About

WakeCheck

Features

Know before you eat. WakeCheck shows the health inspection results for restaurants across Wake County, North Carolina, so you can see how a place scored before you eat there. EXPLORE ANY RESTAURANT Look up restaurants, food trucks and other food service locations across Wake County. Search finds a place however you type the name. Filter by grade, town and type of place. See the current score and grade, the full inspection history, and exactly which violations the inspector found, with the inspector's notes. Google star ratings show alongside, one tap from Google Maps. NEAR ME See the restaurants around you on a map, each tagged with its inspection score, or as a list with the closest first. ALERTS FOR YOUR SAVED PLACES Add places to your Watchlist and WakeCheck will let you know when: • A saved place gets a new inspection • A score drops by 3, 5 or 10 points (you choose) Prefer fewer notifications? Turn on the weekly digest instead: one summary on Sunday morning, sent only when something was inspected. Alerts are held overnight, so nothing buzzes between 9pm and 8am. Tap an alert to go straight to that restaurant. YOUR WATCHLIST Sort saved places into "Will return" and "No go," see new scores at a glance, and pick which folders send alerts. Recently viewed keeps the last 50 places you opened, so you can find them again. INSIGHTS See what happened this week across the county: the grades handed out, how many places were inspected, which towns scored highest, the most common food safety problems, and how different kinds of restaurants compare. LEARN Understand how inspections and grades work, what common violations mean, and open the NC Food Code for the full details. In English and Spanish. No account required. Alerts are tied only to your device. We don't ask for your name or email. Inspection data comes from public Wake County records and is updated regularly. WakeCheck is independently owned and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Wake County government.
