Run a country, one decision at a time. Democracy Simulator puts you in charge of one of 19 real nations. Approve or reject the memos on your desk, set taxes and spending, pass laws through parliament and keep enough voters on your side to win the next election. 19 NATIONS, REAL POLITICS Sweden, Germany, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Spain, Italy, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, India, Indonesia, South Africa and Pakistan. Each country has its own economy, currency, parliament, parties, leaders and problems. A LIVING PARLIAMENT Every law needs a majority. Build a coalition, meet your partners' demands and watch their patience. Appoint ministers, whip votes or strike a deal with the opposition. 2,000 CITIZENS, 19 VOTER GROUPS Socialists and capitalists, liberals and conservatives, the young and the retired, workers, parents, farmers, drivers and more. Every citizen belongs to several groups, so every decision pleases someone and angers someone else. CRISES THAT BUILD UP Housing crises, inflation spirals, smog, brain drain, strikes and more build up quietly, start, spread and only end with real work. Tap any problem to see what drives it and which laws help. AN ECONOMY THAT ANSWERS BACK Growth, jobs, prices, debt and your credit rating all react to your choices, shown in each country's own money. FACE THE VOTERS After 16 quarters the citizens vote. Seats come from real votes. Win a majority, form a coalition or lose power. Presidential countries go to a run-off. • 104 laws, each with winners and losers • Multi-stage crises: pandemics, scandals, strikes, recessions • Career mode with term limits and constitutional crises • Historical scenarios and achievements • English, Türkçe, Português, Español and Français • No ads. Three countries are free. Unlock all the others with one purchase.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: eRepublik at 5.0 against Democracy Simulator's 3.6. eRepublik also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Democracy Simulator's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eRepublik sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Democracy Simulator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
eRepublik holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Democracy Simulator has 27 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of eRepublik's written reviews are positive against 64% of Democracy Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
eRepublik ships an update every 3 months, Democracy Simulator every 4 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
