A reference of everyday Swift, from strings and collections to protocols and design patterns. Every example comes with an explanation, and most of them run. • 25 sections: simple types, arrays and collections, classes and structs, protocols and generics, functions and closures, files, serialization, error handling, regular expressions, concurrency, extensions, patterns. • Run in the app: the example really executes and the output appears under the code. Needs an internet connection. • What changed in new versions: 19 sections from Swift 2.0 to 6.2, with "before" and "after" code side by side. • Keyword and function reference: 228 articles, fully open with no daily counter. • SQL alongside: over 200 queries against a live practice database - JOIN, GROUP BY, subqueries, data types. • Edit examples and add your own - they stay in the app and are always at hand. • Search runs over the code itself, not just the titles: remember a fragment and you will find the example. • Everything except running works offline. No account needed. WHAT THE FREE VERSION INCLUDES 12 runs and 12 edits a day - the counter resets every morning. The keyword reference is open without limits. Up to 5 examples of your own. Copying in the free app is blocked after five attempts. The full version opens every example, removes the daily limits and raises running to 30 launches a day. One purchase, no subscription. Made by a developer for developers. In development since 2015.

The localizer supports XLIFF XCLOC and Xcstrings files. You can export in any of these formats to edit the localization. Pluralization and all file versions are supported. The localizer can search by words and check spelling. You can add your words to the library to get spelling for unique words. In the editor, you can immediately see the missing lines and the parameters used inside the text localization. You can edit several files at the same time - just open them in a new window. The localized file is saved to the current file or you can save as a new file. Verdict
Recipes for Swift and AI App Localization both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Recipes for Swift's written reviews are positive against 50% of AI App Localization's. AI App Localization's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (16.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Recipes for Swift sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and AI App Localization sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $18.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
AI App Localization holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Recipes for Swift's written reviews are positive against 50% of AI App Localization's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Recipes for Swift ships an update every 2 months, AI App Localization weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
