Verdict
testNow and Userlytics both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of testNow's written reviews are positive against 56% of Userlytics's. Userlytics's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 65) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for testNow against 4.7 for Userlytics. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Userlytics has 3K ratings behind it against 65, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of testNow's written reviews are positive against 56% of Userlytics's.
testNow ships an update every 6 weeks, Userlytics every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
