FLAMELET Flamelet is a very creative app for generating fractal art in a playful way. It does this by implementing the fractal-flame-algorithm, originally invented by Scott Draves, in a very versatile and efficient way. There is literally an endless number of possibilities, and you never will have seen all. Flamelet was designed from ground up for mobile devices, is easy to learn, but hard to master. This makes it an app, which has the potential to never become boring. DISCOVER YOUR CREATIVITY Flamelet gives you the freedom, either to create your own art from scratch, or to generate random flames and modify them. There are numerous flame-generators included, all of them with the potential to generate endless beauty. Speaking about art, the app can render your creations in a very decent quality, directly on the device, without any additional costs. ACTUALLY, CREATE FRACTAL ART Unlike to those fractal-zooming/scrolling-apps, Flamelet allows you to actually create fractal art. Either from scratch or by just modifying already created art with your fingertips. Both, a playful and an exact approach are supported: you may just drag around controls or enter exact numerical values. Of course, many combinations of formulas are already well-known, but you can try out your own ideas or just play around to find out new combinations. EXPLORE INIFINITE POSSIBILITIES Flamelet offers a lot of features to play around with: • create limitless combinations of functions, final transforms, transform groups, point transforms and color transforms • make use of about 90 included transforms • influence the tone mapping (balancing, contrast, …) • edit the background (use single color, gradients or images) • apply symmetry (point or axis symmetry with several options) • adjust colors (either by adjusting or creating gradients or by using images) PLAY AND RELAX While creating something from scratch can be very rewarding, just playing around with beautiful shapes can be much fun, and even be relaxing or healing. For this kind of use, Flamelet offers a large library of flame-generators, which create an endless number of random beauty. Additionally, there is the mutagen-module, which allows you to generate random variants ("mutations ") of a selected base flame in a very playful way. SHARE AND EXPORT You can easily share your flame parameters and rendered images with others from within the app. NO HIDDEN COSTS, NO ADS, WORK OFFLINE OR HOWEVER YOU WISH Everything is included when you purchase and install Flamelet. There are about 50 example flames, 12 images and 9 tutorials to get you started. The only other thing you need is your creativity (and your device to render your images). There are no ads, no artificial limits, no subscriptions, no loot-boxes, you have not to be online, …, and we do not collect any of your data! It’s just you – and your art. Have fun ! :-)

Slavic folk belief never built an Olympus. It built something quieter, and stranger, and much closer to home. No place is empty. Someone keeps the warm dark behind the stove. Someone keeps the millpond, and the treeline, and the noon hour when the rye stops moving. To live well was to live in right relation with them, and the rules were small and practical. Greet the house before you greet the people in it. Leave the first of what you gather where you found it. Set a plate for your own dead and say their names out loud. The Keepers is a hand-painted field guide to about a hundred of those keepers, organized the way the belief actually worked. Not by rank of god. By place. HEARTH The ones inside the walls. The old man behind the stove who must be carried to the new house in a live coal. The one who finishes your mending if you sweep, and pinches your children if you do not. The keeper of the bathhouse, that room set apart, where the births and the washing of the dead both happened. HOLLOW Forest and water. The lord of the wood, as tall as the pines when he wishes and no higher than the mushrooms when he does not. The girl in the willows in the green heart of summer, who is not a monster but grief that learned to swim. The house on chicken legs behind its fence of bone, and the old woman inside who will either eat you or hand you the very thing you came for, depending on your manners. FIELD AND THRESHOLD Noon, midnight, the boundary, the turning year. The white woman walking the rows at the exact middle of the day. The straw woman carried down to the river at winter's end, and drowned, and hurried away from without looking back. THE OLD NAMES The gods, and the little that is honestly left of them. The thunder lord dragged to the Dnieper behind a horse. The one goddess who stood on that hill, and her forbidden Friday, and her thread. TWO WAYS IN A once-a-day pull. One keeper, whoever keeps today, leaning gently toward the season the old belief gave them. The river girls in Green Week. The house spirit in deep winter. Free wandering. The whole collection, open, in any order, for as long as you like. Keepers you have met are greeted, never collected. Nothing is locked. There is no set to finish. HONEST ABOUT WHERE THIS COMES FROM A great deal of Slavic content is quietly copying a pantheon that was invented, or badly overbuilt, in the last two hundred years. This one does not. Every entry carries a plain line telling you which region it belongs to and how solid the record is: named in a chronicle, gathered from village belief, or added later by someone who wanted the story tidier than it was. Where a name rests on one sentence written by a single traveling priest around 1168, it says so, and it names him. East, West and South Slavic traditions are kept apart rather than blended into one costume. A Serbian vila is not a Bulgarian samodiva in a borrowed dress. The figures who carry real weight, the drowned and the unburied among them, are held with gravity and never played for a scare. The record is thin in places and contested in others. That is not a flaw we hide. It is a good part of what makes it moving. EVERY ENTRY ENDS OUTWARD Not with a lesson about you. With a courtesy: one small real thing to offer a place, or a person, or the dead. Greet the treeline before you walk into the wood. Keep the noon rest. Leave one piece of work undone on a Friday. NOTHING TO BREAK, NOTHING TO LOSE No streaks. No badges. No guilt notifications. No timer counting down on the daily pull. Miss a day, miss a season, miss a year: nothing is lost, and nothing scolds you when you come back. No account. No sign-up. No ads. No analytics, and no tracking of any kind. Every word and every painting is bundled inside the app, so it works in airplane mode, in a valley with no signal, for as long as the phone lasts. Made in the SillyDroose studio, and written together by A and D.
