About

PlasticOS

Features

PlasticOS is the plastic surgery residency curriculum as an atlas you can search, a question bank that shows what you really know, and a voice that reads it to you. LISTEN All 146 board-level topics can be read aloud by your iPhone's own voice: hours of review for the commute or the call room. A caption follows the sentence; change the speed, skip, and pick up where you stopped, even with the screen locked. 86 procedures, the way a senior takes you through them: the anatomy to know before you scrub, assessment, every operative step with its pearls and hazards, donor site care, monitoring and outcomes, each with its primary reference. CONSULT Ask a clinical question and Consult searches the atlas and the topics as you type: "venous congestion in a free flap", "when is a DIEP contraindicated". It returns matching passages, each with its citation. It writes nothing itself and declines questions about a specific patient. You can also ask in Turkish or Spanish: the medical terms are matched to the English atlas on your device, and the screen shows the English query it searched. Measured before every release on more than a hundred clinical questions in each of the three languages. THE CURRICULUM: 146 TOPICS, ALL AT BOARD LEVEL PGY-1 to PGY-6: wound healing and grafts, local flaps, craniofacial and cleft, hand and nerve, breast, trunk and lower extremity, burns, microsurgery and aesthetic surgery. Every topic is written at board level, from skin grafts and burn resuscitation to cleft surgery, cranial vault remodeling, flexor tendons, wrist arthroscopy, DIEP flaps, lymphedema surgery and melanoma. Each has key numbers, classifications, algorithms, flashcards and references with PubMed IDs. QUESTION BANK: 2207 QUESTIONS Single-best-answer questions, mostly clinical vignettes, with the reasoning for every option, shuffled on each attempt. A mock exam is timed and weighted by exam section, with a review of every answer. Review and flashcards are scheduled with FSRS, a modern spaced-repetition algorithm. Explain it back: write a topic from memory, then check it against its key points. Progress shows mastery by exam section and what is due. TOOLS Figures drawn by the app, step by step, that can also play with narration: Z-plasty and local flaps, graft and burn depth, tendon zones. Teaching calculators that show their formula and source: Z-plasty gain, burn TBSA (Lund-Browder) and fluids, local anaesthetic maximum dose, Caprini. OFFLINE AND PRIVATE Everything ships inside the app, including the voice. No account, no analytics, no server of ours. Your progress stays on your device and does not sync between devices. PLANS Free: PGY-1 fundamentals, three core procedure walkthroughs, spaced repetition, emergency protocols and decision pathways, permanently. Resident: resident-level topics and the core procedure walkthroughs. Fellow: everything in Resident plus fellow-level topics and every walkthrough, including advanced microsurgery. Lifetime: a one-time purchase of everything in Fellow, including future updates. Resident and Fellow include a 7-day free trial. Residency programmes can license seats by invoice. WHAT THIS IS NOT A study aid for surgical trainees, not a clinical decision tool. The calculators are for teaching; nothing in the app should guide the care of a real patient. Built by a plastic surgeon. SUBSCRIPTION AND LEGAL Resident and Fellow are auto-renewable subscriptions, monthly (1 month) or yearly (1 year), each with a 7-day free trial. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
