StudyCycle is a serious Spanish learning app built for real results, not streaks or games. GETTING STARTED 1. Choose from six preferred accents: Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Puerto Rico 2. Explore organized content by category: Conversations, Thematic Vocabulary and Verb Mastery. 3. Choose a “Study Sheet,” which is a set of examples to practice, and rehearse them for 5 flexible sessions across 1 week (known as a “Cycle”). 4. Each activity requires you to speak the phrase from memory, and you compare your recording with an audio from your preferred accent. Your phrase is also transcribed for quick pronunciation feedback. These cycles are a more organized, focused form of spaced repetition with recall, the most powerful tools in language learning. WHAT IT FIXES Flashcard apps like Anki are one of the most popular apps, and for good reason. Spaced repetition with recall is incredibly powerful. However, the actual examples you practice matter even more than the system itself. The StudyCycle Pillars 1. High Quality Content: With most apps, you get unverified, random examples. In StudyCycle, you get content verified by native speakers, organized intentionally. 2. Fast & Effective Methods: Only do activities that help you learn. Recall is simply effective, and imitating audios is like comprehensible in on steroids, since you have to listen closely to rehearse. Didn’t get it right? Immediately try again until you do! That is how learning works. 3. The Right Technology: This isn’t about forcing AI tool into an app. We intentionally use the best transcription tools for pronunciation feedback and the best text-to-speech out there, always verified by native speakers. Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: ConjuGato at 4.2K against StudyCycle's 1. On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. ConjuGato sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and StudyCycle sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ConjuGato against 5.0 for StudyCycle. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ConjuGato has 4.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
ConjuGato ships an update every 4 weeks, StudyCycle monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
