Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ismartviewPlus at none against Athome Camera Pro's 10. ismartviewPlus also leads on review sentiment (30% vs 21%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). Athome Camera Pro's advantage is rating (2.7 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (96 vs 13). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Athome Camera Pro sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. ismartviewPlus asks for nothing beyond the download.
Athome Camera Pro holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Athome Camera Pro has 96 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of ismartviewPlus's written reviews are positive against 21% of Athome Camera Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ismartviewPlus ships an update every 3 weeks, Athome Camera Pro every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
