Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: SHI at 4.6 against Druid Tale's 4.0. SHI also leads on ratings volume (215 vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). Druid Tale's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and price ($0.29 vs $2.99). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

SHI costs $2.99 and Druid Tale $0.29 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SHI holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SHI has 215 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of SHI's written reviews are positive against 100% of Druid Tale's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
SHI ships an update every 2 months, Druid Tale every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
