The Fraternal Order of Retired Border Patrol Officers (FORBPO) is a dedicated organization committed to uniting retired U.S. Border Patrol Agents and preserving the camaraderie formed during their service. Established on October 25, 1978, in Denver, Colorado, FORBPO was born out of a need to maintain the bonds and unique spirit built over years of partnership and shared experiences along the U.S. border. FORBPO brings together retired Border Patrol officers, their spouses, and widows to foster fellowship, support, and a shared sense of identity. With no commercial or political ties, the organization is purely fraternal, focused solely on keeping alive the friendships and loyalties that otherwise might be lost over time and distance. For many members, these bonds were forged “down along the river, or perched on some sand hill,” where trust was essential and friendships ran deep. The FORBPO mobile app is designed to enhance member engagement, offering easy access to the organization’s features and services. With this app, FORBPO aims to support retired officers by providing an accessible platform for staying in touch and participating in the community. Key app features include: - Member Directory: Locate and connect with fellow retired agents through a secure member directory. - Discussion Forums: Participate in discussions, share stories, and engage with others who understand the unique experiences of life in the Border Patrol. - Resources and Benefits: Explore a variety of resources tailored to the needs of retired officers, including historical archives, benefits, and more. - Social Media Access: Quickly navigate to FORBPO’s social media pages to stay connected and share the mission with a wider community. FORBPO stands as a testament to the dedication, loyalty, and unique experiences of those who served with the U.S. Border Patrol. Through this app, retired agents can continue to be a part of the brotherhood, keeping the spirit of service alive in retirement.
