Every backgammon app says its dice are random. This one lets you check. Before the first roll of a match, Backgammon Trainer shows you a hash of the secret that every roll in that match comes from. The whole sequence is generated once, from that secret, and it is never regenerated, so the app physically cannot look at the board and choose a die. When the match ends you get the secret. Re-hash it and it must match what you were shown. Replay it and it must produce exactly the rolls you got. You can do both inside the app in one tap, or export the proof and check it with your own tools. Then it tells you what you actually did wrong. THE COACH Finish a match and every decision is reviewed. You get your performance rating, the number serious players use, plus your error rate split between checker play and cube handling. The report leads with your three worst decisions: the roll, the move you made, the move that was better, and exactly how much equity the difference cost you, with a plain sentence explaining why. Cube decisions get their own section, because that is where most rating quietly disappears. Take points and cash points are computed from the Kazaross-XG2 match equity table at your actual score, not from a rule of thumb, so the advice at 2-away 4-away is the advice for 2-away 4-away. ONE PRICE Playing is free and unlimited. Free also includes the fairness proof, the dice ledger and two full coach reports a day. Pro is a single purchase that opens the expert opponent, the live tutor, unlimited reports, the cube explainer, full history, blunder drills and every variant. One payment. It does not renew, and there is no second unlock to buy later. FIVE WAYS TO PLAY Backgammon with the doubling cube, Crawford and Jacoby. Nackgammon, where every game is a priming battle. Hypergammon, three checkers a side. Tavla, played as it is in Turkey, without the cube and with mars counting double. Plakoto from the Greek tavli set, where you pin checkers instead of hitting them. All five are complete rules implementations, not relabelled boards. BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY PLAY Legal moves only, with the maximum dice rule, the forced higher die and oversized bear-off dice all handled correctly. Undo before you commit. Home board on either side. Point numbers and pip counts on or off. Larger checkers when you want them. Match play to any length up to 15 points. Everything works offline, with no account and no sign-up. Match export in the plain text format desktop analysis tools already read, so nothing you play here is trapped in here. IN YOUR LANGUAGE Turkish, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Croatian, German, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and English. Tavla, tavli, nardi and shesh besh are the same game, and this app speaks all of them. PRIVACY Nothing leaves your device. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no network calls. Your matches, your ratings and your dice history are stored on your phone and nowhere else. PRO UNLOCK Pro is a one time in-app purchase for your Apple Account. It is not a subscription, it does not auto renew, and there is nothing to cancel. Restore Purchases is in Settings.
