About

Cable Fault Vision

Features

Cable Fault Vision (CFV) is a portable, battery-powered diagnostic tool that helps maintenance technicians locate faults in wiring made of two or more conductors. Using Multi-Carrier Time Domain Reflectometry (MCTDR), it sends a probe signal down the line and analyzes the reflection to identify and pinpoint open circuits, short circuits, and other anomalies. CFV connects over Bluetooth to this app, which shows results as a simple list of likely scenarios or as detailed reflectometry curves for deeper analysis. It detects both permanent faults and intermittent faults.
