Save it, view it, play it, forget it. calmtasks holds the links, files, photographs, video, audio and dates that belong to a task, and opens them where the task is โ so the things you would otherwise keep in a bookmark app, a downloads folder and your own head are in one place. Organise it three levels deep, read the account from any CalDAV client, and take everything back as one zip. No subscription, no advertising, and nothing collected that the app does not need to work. WHAT A TASK CAN HOLD Links, photographs, PDFs, scans, audio and video. They open where the task is: pinch to zoom an image, read a PDF, play a recording, follow a link. Nothing goes to a separate folder or a separate app, so the quote, the serial number, the photograph and the page you found them on are in one place a year later. PROJECTS Three levels: context, then category, then project. Work โ Clients โ Hendersons, or Home โ House โ Bathroom. Each task also carries tags, a flag, notes, a status and a duration. SHARE SHEET ROUTING Share anything into calmtasks from another app and it becomes a task. Then choose, once, where each kind of shared item goes: โข links โข photographs and video โข files โข calendar events โข plain text Each can land in a different project, so a URL from Safari and a photograph from Photos stop arriving in the same place. RECURRING TASKS Repeats use RFC 5545 rules, the same standard calendars use, so "the first Monday of every month until June" is one task rather than twelve. Start, due and completion are three separate dates, and each task also has a duration. CALENDAR AND MAP Month and day calendar views. Tasks given a location appear together on a map. CALDAV ACCESS Your account is readable by any CalDAV client โ Apple Calendar, Fantastical, Thunderbird. Tasks with dates appear alongside your other calendars. You sign the client in with your email address and a token the app generates. SEARCH Across every field at once: names, notes, tags, projects and contexts, as you type. EXPORT AND IMPORT Export everything as one zip: the tasks as CSV and as JSON, with every attached file alongside them. The same zip imports back. Nothing is locked to the service. ON THE WEB, AND FROM YOUR OWN CODE Everything is also at calmtasks.com in a browser, on the same account. There is a documented HTTP API with an OpenAPI description at calmtasks.com/api/docs. SIGNING IN An email address and a six-digit code. There is no password to reuse, leak or reset. WHAT WE HOLD Your email address, your tasks, the files you attach, and โ only if you give a task a location โ that location. That is what the service runs on. We do not sell it and we do not track you between apps. The full policy is at calmtasks.com/privacy.
