Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Snaptain View holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HF UFO has 342 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of HF UFO's written reviews are positive against 0% of Snaptain View's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
HF UFO ships an update monthly, Snaptain View every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
