Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Echobell at 4.7 against Diary's 3.9. Echobell also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%). Diary's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
