About

Dance Kudos

Features

Most dancers watch their own video looking for what went wrong. Dance Kudos looks for what went right. Film one combo after class. Mira, the app's AI, watches it and writes what worked for you, each moment pinned to the second it happened. Then the people you dance with can add compliments of their own. No scores. No rankings. No "areas for improvement." Corrections come from your teacher; Mira only notes what worked. AFTER CLASS: ONE COMBO, TWO PHONES • Stay a few minutes after class and run the combo with your partner for one minute. • Two phones stand on a chair and film you both. Nobody holds a camera, and each of you keeps your own video. • The app's camera records the picture only, no sound. It starts only when it sees the two of you, head to toe, and nobody else. • Before Mira watches, you hand your phone to your partner. One page tells them where the video goes, and they say yes (and that they are 18 or older) or no. On a no, nothing is uploaded. • A clip filmed this way stays between you and Mira: it is never shared, published or saved to Photos. • Your first look at it shows a few seconds at a time, where something worked. It helps if watching yourself on video feels strange. • Optional class-day reminders, 30 minutes before class. You set them and you stop them. Already filmed? Add a clip from your library instead. MIRA, THE APP'S AI • Mira is an AI: your clip goes to Google's Gemini so she can write. She asks first, and you can turn her off at any time. • She writes only about pair dancing, only about the dancer you say you are, and only about what worked. She is a witness, not a judge. • Every compliment is pinned to a timecode. Tap it and watch that moment. • Live Activity, Home and Lock Screen widgets, and a share extension for videos from Photos. THE ROOM • Sign in with Apple to share a practice with your partner, a group, or everyone in the Room. • Leave compliments on other dancers' videos. • Compliments only. An AI checks compliment text before delivery, and critique, advice and comparisons are held for rewording. • Videos posted to everyone are checked automatically before they appear. • In the Room, report any video, compliment or dancer, and block any dancer. A person reads every report. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT • Start without an account: film, upload and read Mira's compliments with nothing but your phone. • A new video is private until you choose who sees it. • Delete one video in My videos (press and hold it, or tap its …), or everything from the You tab; what is attached goes too. • We do not sell your data and do not use your videos for advertising. SEVEN PARTNER DANCES West Coast Swing, Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Argentine Tango, Lindy Hop and Brazilian Zouk. The app speaks nine languages. Filming with the app's camera is not ready yet for tango and kizomba, which are danced in a close embrace; you can still add a clip from your library. FOR DANCERS 18+ Dance Kudos is for adults: the AI behind Mira may only be used by people 18 or older. Videos can show identifiable people, and you confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. DANCE KUDOS PREMIUM Free every month: 3 new clips for Mira, all styles included. Dance Kudos Premium unlocks: • Unlimited clips for Mira • Premium share templates Premium is an auto-renewable subscription, offered monthly or annually (no free trial). Price is shown in the app before you confirm and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel in your App Store account settings after purchase.
