Westfield commissioned international artists’ Craig & Karl to create custom artworks to celebrate the launch of Westfield Carousel. Experience. Explore. Capture. Imagine no more as this wonderful world is brought life in this art installation and artworks you’ll discover around the centre on the ground floor in Westfield Carousel’s new fashion mall. The ZOOM app brings these artworks to life through augmented reality. Find the trigger points located at all Craig & Karl artworks and share your augmented reality experience on Instagram and Facebook. They developed a new way of working together from contrary locations and now collaborate daily to create bold work that is often filled with simple messages executed in a thoughtful and humorous way. Craig & Karl’s installation, ZOOM, offers a chance to interact with a blown-up slice of daily life. The installation is a zoomed-in snapshot of everyday scenarios, each enhanced to an exaggerated size to challenge our perceived notions of items that are seemingly so commonplace as to have become invisible. ZOOM provides an opportunity to rethink our perspective of the world around us and to view our place within it in a new and unexpected way.
