Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Eight Saints at none against The Mighty's shown. Eight Saints also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%). The Mighty's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 83) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for The Mighty against 4.9 for Eight Saints. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Mighty has 10K ratings behind it against 83, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of The Mighty's written reviews are positive against 100% of Eight Saints's.
The Mighty ships an update monthly, Eight Saints fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
