Kocaman Mobil işletim sistemli cihazlarda konumsal mühendislik hesaplamalarına hızlı ve kesin çözümler üreten ve tüm kodları Harita Mühendisi Hakan KOCAMAN ve Bilgisayar Mühendisi Ümit Tacettin AKGÖL tarafından kodlanan bir uygulamadır. Uygulama Hesap Modülleri ve GPS Modülleri olmak üzere 2 kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Hesap Modülleri kısmında konumsal matematiksel işlemler yapılmaktadır. GPS Modülleri kısmında ise cihazınızın GPS sensörü kullanarak elde edilen konum bilgisi 3 ve 6 derecelik UTM sisteminde ED50 ve ITRF koordinat değerlerine dönüştürülerek sahada alım, aplikasyon ve alan hesabı işlemlerini yapmanıza olanak sağlar. Uygulamanın arka planda yapmış olduğu tüm hesaplamalar yüksek doğruluk düzeyinde ve hassas hesaplamalardır. Fakat cihazınızın direk olarak uydulardan elde ettiği WGS84 coğrafi koordinatların hassasiyetine göre dönüşüm yapılarak elde edilen UTM koordinatlar, WGS84 coğrafi koordinatlarla yine aynı derecede tutarlılık göstermektedir. Bu sebeple Kocaman’ın çok hassas konum belirle çalışmalarınızdan ziyade genel anlamda konum belirleme çalışmalarında kullanmanısı önerilir. Zira günümüz teknolojisinde gerek el GPS leri gerekse mobil cihazların GPS sensörleri, uydulardan direk olarak metre altın doğrulukta WGS84 coğrafi koordinatları elde edememektedir.
