Yes — this is the one. The cube puzzle you saw on your feed is real. It has been here since 2018, built by one person over several years, and almost nobody finishes it. Over 160 cyberpunk-themed cubes stand between you and the end. Match and link colours by rotating, shuffling and twisting geometry that refuses to sit still. No walkthrough can solve it for you — every cube you receive is generated fresh. UNLIMITED PUZZLE POSSIBILITIES Every time you start a puzzle the combination is different, with infinite solution possibilities and a challenge that never fades. Every time you close a sequence of colours they are replaced with unpredictable new links. No known routes, no pre-determined outcomes, no linear journeys, no algorithms – it's your mind versus the Neurocube. PIONEERING NON-LINEAR MATRIX Each puzzle opens routes to new puzzles. If you get stuck in a particularly difficult path, simply move over to another unexplored path, and continue your saga. And if you decipher a puzzle particularly well, perhaps hidden paths might open for you giving access to secret levels or creating shortcuts to advanced parts of the matrix. PROVE IT Beat a cube and the game builds you a share card carrying a signed code — a fingerprint of that exact run. Post it anywhere. Anyone can enter the code into the verify terminal to see the run and confirm it is real, and it earns them a free attempt at that puzzle themselves. CLIMB THE LEAGUE TABLE One global league table, and every player in the world is on it. Solving a cube is one thing. Solving it better than everyone else is another. Post a score, take a rank, and defend it — the people above you are not going to make it easy. INNOVATIVE SCI-FI WORLD Built with the most advanced 3D gaming tools in the market, providing superb visual and sound effects in a futuristic high-tech environment. Relax and dream as you play the game of choice of the next evolution of humans. Slick, responsive controls and a smart interface allow your mind to connect with the Neurocube as if your brain had been uploaded to the cyber world. NO ADS. NO INTERRUPTIONS. No banners, no forced videos between attempts. Play offline anywhere — on a plane, underground, or with no signal at all. Ξ Let your mind decipher the Neurocube Ξ PHOTOSENSITIVITY WARNING: This game displays flashing lights and special effects that may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Player discretion is advised.

▶ A Combination of Turn-based RPG and Realtime Brawl Each turn results in a display of exhilarating action. In the combat phase, units on both sides will act simultaneously. During the scramble, characters targeting each other may Clash. The outcome of a Clash depends on the strength of their opposing skills and a sprinkle of luck; the winner can shut down the loser's skill. Ensure you use the right skills to win Clashes. ▶ Single-handed Skirmishing Connect skill icons across the grid, and your units will take action according to your commands. Chaining skills of the same color allows you to deal greater damage. Using simple and practical controls, watch as the Sinners dance to your tempo. ▶ Create Diverse Strategies with Identities and E.G.O Form teams of Identities and equip them with an arsenal of E.G.O that will create powerful synergies. Your foes come armed with a variety of Affinity-based attacks and tricky effects. In particular, Abnormalities are formidable foes that may prove to be considerable challenges. Learn their behavior and weaknesses, and compose the right team to eventually conquer them. ▶ Immerse Yourself in the World of Project Moon From the creators of Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina, another tale set in the same, unique world unfolds. Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Limbus Company at 16K against Neurocuber's 281. Limbus Company also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and chart position (#110 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neurocuber sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Limbus Company sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Neurocuber against 4.8 for Limbus Company. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Limbus Company has 16K ratings behind it against 281, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 92% of Neurocuber's written reviews are positive against 87% of Limbus Company's.
Neurocuber ships an update every 3 weeks, Limbus Company weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
