On Earth Recap
Read full descriptionHide full description
On Earth is a private recap of where you went this week and this year. Allow location, keep the app open while you walk or commute, and On Earth draws your route on a map. Stops of a few minutes become places. Open a place, take a photo, and keep it with that spot on this iPhone. See distance and places for this week or this year. Tap Share to send a recap card — a picture you choose to send. Your route data never leaves this iPhone unless you send that picture. WHY PEOPLE USE IT • This week and this year on a map • Distance and places, stored on this iPhone • Snap a photo and save it with a place • Share a recap card, not raw GPS • How-to walkthrough you can replay in Settings • Kilometers or miles, light or dark • 12 languages, including Arabic (right-to-left) BUILT TO STAY ON YOUR IPHONE Places, trips, and place photos are stored only on this device. Nothing is uploaded unless you tap Share and send the picture yourself. Location is used to build your recap while the app is in use — not to track other people, and not in the background. On Earth Recap is from Sai Laksha Technologies.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: RDMNS.LK at none against On Earth Recap's shown. RDMNS.LK also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On Earth Recap's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
