Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: TV Series Hub at 4.8 against Stack Overflow AR's 4.0. TV Series Hub also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). Stack Overflow AR's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Series Hub sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Stack Overflow AR asks for nothing beyond the download.
TV Series Hub holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Series Hub has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Stack Overflow AR's written reviews are positive against 70% of TV Series Hub's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Stack Overflow AR ships an update every 3 months, TV Series Hub monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
