Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ratings volume: InVintory at 5.1K against Wines's 5. InVintory also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (73% vs 60%). Wines's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. InVintory sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Wines sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Wines holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InVintory has 5.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of InVintory's written reviews are positive against 60% of Wines's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

InVintory ships an update every 5 days, Wines every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
