SALY works together with Machine Learning (M.L) to detect objects in real time or from photos, in order to help people with visual impairments or just to have fun with it. SALY can analyze a wide variety of objects, such as: • Objects (Watch, glasses, modem, etc.) • Animals (Fly, kangaroo, dalmata, etc.) • Food (Apple, hamburger, burrito, etc.) • Plants (Daisy, thistle, rose, etc.) • Vehicles (Sport car, ambulance, boat, etc.) • Places (Cinema, palace, restaurant, etc.) • More coming. SALY features: • Free. • No ads. • Offline analyzing. • Privacy: All images are analyzed on the device. • Analyze objects around you in real time or from photos you have taken or from the internet. • Dark mode. Requirements: • iOS devices using iOS 13 or later.

This version of the app is written by Lam Yeung Shun under the supervision of Dr. Shiu Yin Yuen. The application will act as a guide dog, as an auxiliary tool to guide the visually impaired people (VIP) to the destination in both indoor and outdoor environments. Under the guidance of the navigation, the VIP can easily follow the instructions from the recorded path. The path can be recorded by themselves or received from other users.
