Get your child excited about learning and solving puzzles! Samsquares turns a classic psychology test into a game children actually enjoy. Each puzzle shows a picture made of colored squares. Drag squares onto the grid to build the same picture, and tap the two-colored ones to turn them. It looks simple, but it trains spatial reasoning: seeing how shapes fit together, turn and mirror, a skill linked to success in math and science. • 145 puzzles in 7 levels, from Newbie to Expert, plus Alphabet and two Mirror levels • Up to three stars per puzzle: solve it, beat the clock, and use no extra moves • Mirror levels: build the picture as it would look in a mirror, a fun challenge for adults too • Hints on the first puzzles show how to drag and turn the squares • Music, sound effects and haptics, each adjustable • Plays on iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo, in portrait or landscape Samsquares is designed for children aged 6 to 10 and builds on findings from educational neuroscience and psychology. It was inspired by the work of Samuel C. Kohs, the American psychologist who created the Kohs block design test. His work with children inspired a new approach to spatial reasoning and learning through puzzles. Made with kids in mind: no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts and no data collection. The game works fully offline. We are a small team of an educator and a developer. Questions or ideas? Write to arieltkachenko@gmail.com.
