Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: subflow at none against Autohypnosis's 3. subflow also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (67% vs 59%). Autohypnosis's advantage is ratings volume (690 vs 17) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Autohypnosis sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. subflow asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Autohypnosis holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Autohypnosis has 690 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Autohypnosis's written reviews are positive against 67% of subflow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Autohypnosis ships an update every 5 weeks, subflow every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
