Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Boulder Care at 4.9 against iBac's 1.8. Boulder Care also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (4.8K vs 5). iBac's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Boulder Care holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boulder Care has 4.8K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Boulder Care's written reviews are positive against 100% of iBac's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Boulder Care ships an update monthly, iBac every 15 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
