Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Auth at 5.0 against Authenticator's 4.5. Auth also leads on ads (none vs shown). Authenticator's advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 38 months) and ratings volume (135 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
