The DST (Dementia Screening Test) is the only dementia test which is a medical device as per regulatory requirements. The DST very effectively detects early dementia risks, and can reliably distinguish between the different dementia risk levels. It is therefore suitable for dementia screening, as well as for risk severity monitoring / therapy control over time. Additional functions include: - a reminder to redo the test after 3-6 months, for medical monitoring - continued engagement for prevention, through regular Dementia News - tracking of the dementia risk over time, visualized in a graphic - option to e-mail and/or print the test results (e.g., for documentation purposes) To date, there is no effective treatment for advanced dementia stages. Therefore, effective screening is essential to begin treatment before the brain damages become irreversible. Because for early dementia stages, there are already effective treatment options that can significantly delay or even prevent disease progression. With special tests, dementia risks can be detected 18 years and more prior to the first symptoms. The Dementia Screening Test (DST) is the only such test which is a Medical Device for dementia screening as per the regulatory requirements. The good news is: for most people the test can give the all-clear! The DST in short: - Easy to perform, also for medical laypersons. - Reliable: more than 96% sensitivity of the algorithm shown in clinical trials, probably the highest value worldwide for such tests. - Safe: no registration required, no storage of personal data, works without internet connection, no advertising. - Medical Device as per regulatory requirements. - Works with all dementia subtypes (Alzheimer's dementia, vascular dementia, fronto-temporal dementia, Lewy-body dementia, secondary dementia, hybrids / other forms). - Engaging: provides you with the latest research results on a regular basis, and reminds to retake the test regularly. - Documents changes in dementia risk over time. - Supports research and public awareness for dementia patients and relatives. The DST as such, like any medical test, does not provide or replace a diagnosis. Therefore, please seek a doctor’s advice in addition to using this app and before making any medical decisions. Take the test now, and become a superager!

About

OCS

Features

OCS-Plus provides health professionals with a brief cognitive assessment focussed on memory and executive attention. OCS-Plus was developed by the Translational Neuropsychology Research Group at the University of Oxford. The tool has been standardised, normed and validated (Demeyere et al 2021). The tool is currently undergoing further research for validity of use in specific clinical groups. The tool is not for self-assessment. Instead, a health professional assessor administers the screen to respondents to investigate domain-general cognitive impairments, with a specific focus on memory and executive attention. The tool contains multiple easy to administer tests and instructions are provided for each test. Normative data is provided for three age groups : under 60, between 60 and 70, and older than 70 and respondent performance is automatically compared to established normative cut offs. In order to activate the app for use, registration is required. There is no cost for the standard app version where data is not uploaded. Where data upload is required, an administration fee, as well as a collaboration agreement and datasharing agreement is required to be put in place.
