The app connects to the ABT 9000 switch gauge measurement device via a Wi-Fi connection. The user can do separate inspections at certain locations along the length of the switch or can do a full SO53 inspection. At the end of the inspection, the app makes available SO53 inspection reports which can be shared to other devices using the share button in the app. The device measures: track gauge, super elevation, flangeway gap, check gauge, TGP8, NR4, Gauge 1, Gauge 2, and an inspection against sharp corners.
