Verdict
The clearest difference is price: HP at Free against x36's $0.99. HP also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). x36's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.2). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

HP is free to download; x36 costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for x36 against 5.0 for HP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HP has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
x36 ships an update every 2 months, HP every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
