Use the app’s College Search tool to search and compare over 2,000 colleges by name or personal preferences including location, size, cost, acceptance rate, majors, entrance difficulty, college tuition, financial aid awards, campus life, graduation and retention rates, GPAs, test scores of recently enrolled freshmen and more. You can also search by financially “friendly” factors, including average financial need met, average student debt, and percentage of students getting merit aid. Next, you’ll want to generate your College List to help you find the best college match and your dream school. It’s wise to develop a list that includes reach, target, and safety schools. Use College Chances – our college acceptance calculator – to estimate your chances of admission at any of the 2,000+ colleges profiled in the CollegeData mobile app. The College Chances calculator is a valuable and informative tool that compares data about you (including your GPA and test scores) with the qualifications of freshmen recently enrolled in the colleges you are interested in, plus other admissions factors. Using our college acceptance calculator, you can also estimate your admissions chances and find out what you can do to improve your odds using the College Chances calculator. If you're shocked by the cost of college, remember that scholarships and financial aid can make college more affordable. Use our Scholarship Finder to explore thousands of awards offered by private organizations, foundations, corporations, the U.S. government, individuals, and the colleges themselves. Find scholarships that might be looking for students with academic qualifications, interests, and personal characteristics like yours. Use the CollegeData mobile app to create your own personal Dashboard that will help you keep track of important college application deadlines, academic credentials and test scores and develop your college resume. 1st Financial Bank USA has provided the CollegeData service for almost 25 years to help students prepare, apply and pay for college. Parents feel frustrated and alone when trying to help their teens through high school and college admissions. To make matters worse, the schools treat the students like sheep without concern for their goals or aspirations. Heaven forbid they have interests outside the standard curriculum or cliche extracurricular activities. SO, we built a dedicated parent community and online “campus” where families access actionable resources and live coaching from leading experts and peers in a collaborative, judgment-free zone! Here, we ask each other and specialized coaches for help, share our own experiences, and learn through live training and courses so we can better support our teens through their high school years. Is the school counselor giving the same outdated canned advice to her 100+ advisees? Attend one of our live workshops to learn how applicants ACTUALLY stand out to colleges. Is the school curriculum stuck in the Stone Ages? Dive into our mental performance training, where students learn to take ownership of their learning…and their future. Are your fellow parents obsessed with grades and getting their kids into the “best” colleges? Tap into our community of parents who put our teens’ dreams and mental well-being FIRST. What Our Parent Community Believes: -We can best help our teens by encouraging their specific dreams and aspirations. Our community isn’t for everyone. Specifically, we are not a good fit for those who push their teens to excel at all costs without concern for their child’s mental well-being. -Our teens are not defined by numbers–GPAs, SAT scores, class rank, etc. As the adults in the room, we recognize that these academic numbers have little real-world impact on our children's lifetime success. Instead, we embrace the research-backed success lessons, habits, and mindsets that engender lasting fulfillment and achievement. -We believe it takes an extended village to prepare our teens for college and beyond. Our schools have limited resources. The school counselors advise dozens of students, so they all receive the same outdated canned advice. The school pushes all students through the same classes and cliche extracurricular activities. Our students are treated like sheep, while students at selective private schools receive personalized attention and opportunities. However, the collective resources of this parent community help level the playing field for our teens. Here’s a sneak peek at what you will find inside: -Community: A welcoming space to connect with other parents who value their teens’ dreams and well-being above grades and the college admissions mania. -Course and Live Coaching: Specialists and subject matter experts lead us through research-backed strategies and lessons on everything from mental performance to personal persuasion techniques to college admissions difference-makers. -Monthly Challenges: Collaborative learning experiences where we take a deep dive into a needle-moving area of personal or professional development. -Extra Credit: A daily bite-sized training video from our top coaches or counselors, including best-selling author Jeb White. As we all know, some parents pay thousands of dollars each month for similar resources. However, because we are committed to leveling the playing field, parents can join our community for free. Our children deserve our best. Let’s support and encourage each other during this pivotal time of our children’s lives. Join us! Download the app to connect with our growing parent tribe! ----- Terms of Use: mightynetworks.com/terms-of-use
