Verdict
Speedometer × and ScooterDash both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ScooterDash's written reviews are positive against 52% of Speedometer ×'s. ScooterDash also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 months). Speedometer ×'s advantage is ratings volume (840 vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Speedometer × sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. ScooterDash asks for nothing beyond the download.
Speedometer × holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer × has 840 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Speedometer ×'s written reviews are positive against 100% of ScooterDash's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Speedometer × ships an update every 5 months, ScooterDash every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
