Doolin is where your relationship's story lives — private, permanent, and yours. Unlike gamified relationship apps built for engagement, Doolin is built for intimacy. Each partner owns their own content — full stop. Tiered authentication keeps your content safe, and Blindfold adds another layer of security for your most private moments. And your data isn't the product: it's architecture, with easy export anytime, a promise few relationship apps make. Change your mind? Pause your partners access to your content instead of deleting it outright. A pause holds for 60 days — or until you cancel it — so nothing's ever lost in the heat of the moment. Your content. Your control. Capture your story together: Photos — the ones that matter most Voice Threads — moments captured in your voices Notes — a simple note can mean the world Pulse — a quiet way to let them know they're on your mind Whisper — a private note, sealed until a specific day & time Dates — save all those firsts and all the favorites One touch filters your Thread by event type (ie see all your Dates or Whispers in their own timeline). Two lives. One thread. I'm not a big app company churning out products. I'm a husband to someone I'm deeply in love with, a father to children I'd do anything for, and a hospitality professional who always dreamed of building something to capture a relationship's most special moments. We want Doolin to be the app for your relationship, forever — and we're just getting started. Your feedback shapes where we go next; we're here to serve and keep improving. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WinterKids at none against Doolin's 1. WinterKids also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 2). Doolin's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for WinterKids against 4.5 for Doolin. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WinterKids has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
WinterKids ships an update every 3 weeks, Doolin every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
