Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Firelog at 4.6 against HTTP Catcher's 3.1. HTTP Catcher's advantage is ratings volume (136 vs 42) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. HTTP Catcher sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Firelog sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Firelog holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 136 and 42 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of HTTP Catcher's written reviews are positive against 60% of Firelog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

HTTP Catcher ships an update every 3 weeks, Firelog fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
