Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 動畫新番Ani at none against MangaBoxs's 3. MangaBoxs's advantage is rating (3.3 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (20 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. MangaBoxs sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. 動畫新番Ani asks for nothing beyond the download.
MangaBoxs holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MangaBoxs has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of 動畫新番Ani's written reviews are positive against 56% of MangaBoxs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
動畫新番Ani ships an update every 6 weeks, MangaBoxs every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
