Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Ruler at 4.3 against Camera Ruler ٞ's 3.5. Ruler also leads on ratings volume (133 vs 11) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Camera Ruler ٞ's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (50% vs 33%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ruler sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Camera Ruler ٞ asks for nothing beyond the download.
Ruler holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ruler has 133 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Ruler's written reviews are positive against 50% of Camera Ruler ٞ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
