Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: UpBoard at Free against Dune's $10.99. UpBoard also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Dune's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
