Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Express Thermal Print at 3.0 against Eleph's 2.3. Express Thermal Print also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eleph sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Express Thermal Print asks for nothing beyond the download.
Express Thermal Print holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 16 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Express Thermal Print's written reviews are positive against 7% of Eleph's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Express Thermal Print ships an update every 2 days, Eleph every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
