FrameMat
Read full descriptionHide full description
Get the mat opening and frame size right the first time for any print you want to hang. Type an art size and FrameMat works out the exact window to cut, the mat border on every side, and the glass and frame size to buy. The mat draws itself to scale as you type, so you can see the piece before you cut a thing. What FrameMat does - Mat opening from art size: set the overlap and read the exact window, sized so the print cannot slip through. - Mat border: pick a border and see the outer mat, glass, and frame rabbet size update live. - Weighted bottom: add a little to the bottom border to fix the bottom heavy look, top and sides stay even. - Standard sizes: one tap print sizes and a guide of common print and frame pairings. - Cost per frame: price the moulding by the foot with a mitre allowance, the glazing by the square foot, plus mat, backing, and labour, for a total before you build. - Inches or centimetres: enter and read every size in the system you work in. Save your work - Keep a library of framing jobs. Every piece holds its openings, its sizes, and its cost, so you can reopen and reprice it any time. - Multi opening layouts: lay out gallery mats in a grid of columns with an even gap, each window centred and squared to the outer mat. - A summary that ranks your jobs by cost and by glazing, and totals the moulding and glass to buy. Free and Pro FrameMat is free to calculate a single mat, use the standard sizes and the guide, and keep your first saved job. A one time purchase unlocks unlimited saved jobs, multi opening gallery layouts, and export of a printable PDF spec sheet plus a CSV. No subscription, no account, and nothing leaves your iPhone. Private by design. Everything you enter stays on your device. No account, no cloud, no tracking.
