Running out of iPhone storage? Back up your photos and videos directly to a USB drive or external storage — no cloud or computer required. Smart Photos Backup helps you back up your memories, free up iPhone space, browse your offline Photo Data Library, and restore photos whenever you need them. KEY FEATURES • Back Up Photos & Videos Select photos and videos, check the amount of storage you can free up, and back them up to your connected external drive. • Free Up iPhone Storage Back up your memories first, then remove backed-up photos from your iPhone when you’re ready. • Browse & Restore Browse photos stored on your external drive and restore them to your iPhone when needed. • Photo Data Library Keep your own photo information — including thumbnails, dates, and locations — in a local Photo Data Library. It is separate from Apple’s Photos Library. • Organize by Time, Location & Size Find and manage your photos using the information that matters to you. • Smart Journeys Automatically group photos from trips and events to make your memories easier to explore. • Create Video Clips Select photos and videos and turn your memories into a video with music. NO CLOUD REQUIRED Your photos can stay on the storage you own. No account or cloud storage is required for your local backup workflow. IMPORTANT Connecting an external drive uses your iPhone’s charging port, so your iPhone cannot be charged through the same port while the drive is connected. Smart Photos Backup is designed for people who want a simple way to keep their photos safe, offline, and under their own control.
