Still building formations only in your head? mo-sim is a formation design app for choreographers. It lets you simulate dancer movements and stage formations in sync with music — so the picture in your head becomes a moving picture on your screen. Play the song, and dancers actually move on the canvas. Whether you're working alone, sharing with your team, or finalizing before showtime — mo-sim helps you show what words can't describe. ----- [Start free. Unlock more, once and for all.] mo-sim's core features are all free to use. No account needed — just download and start designing. When you're ready to unlock advanced features, there's no monthly subscription. A single one-time purchase, and they're yours forever. [Craft every detail, right in your hand] Set each dancer's entry timing, stop points, movement path, and facing direction. Zoom out to see the whole stage, or zoom in on a single dancer. Batch-edit multiple dancers and scenes at once, cutting down hours of work that paper or PowerPoint would demand. [Compare ideas side by side] Not sure which version works best? Create multiple formation drafts in parallel and compare them on the spot (Parallel Scenes). Attach reference videos, rehearsal footage, and notes directly to each scene — keep your entire creative process in one place. Save your go-to stage layouts and team rosters as presets, so you can start your next piece in seconds. [Built for every kind of stage] From professional choreography sessions to school dance clubs, theater rehearsals, and group performances of every kind. Replace your paper notebooks with a digital canvas, free up time to focus on what matters — the ideas — and cut down on rehearsal time and studio costs. [Bring out your best creative work with mo-sim] Every choreographer has been there: the vision is clear in your head, but words and gestures aren't enough to share it. mo-sim was built to lower that wall — so you can spend less time explaining movement, and more time creating it. ----- Questions or feedback: Website: https://www.mo-sim.com Email: mosimstaff@gmail.com Bring out your best creative work — with mo-sim.
mubo

mubo is a dance formation maker for choreographers, dance teams, cheer squads and marching bands. Lay out every formation on a timeline, sync it to your music, and hand the whole crew a plan they can actually follow. CURVED TRANSITION PATHS Dancers don't walk in straight lines, so mubo doesn't draw them that way. Tap a dancer, drag the handle, and bend the path between two formations into an arc, a swoop or a circular walk. Your team sees the route they actually take, not just where they start and where they stop. BUILD THE FORMATION - Drag dancers around the stage and set keyframes to morph one formation into the next. - Start faster with 14 adaptive formation templates, including lines, staggered rows, V shapes, arcs, circles, diamonds, grids and groups. Preview routes before applying, while keeping every dancer's name and color. - Stage props: place stairs, speakers, mics, a DJ booth, arrows, shapes and text labels so the stage on screen matches the one you will perform on. - Give every dancer a name and a color, group them, and move a whole group at once. - Save a project per song and reopen it whenever the choreography changes. MUSIC SYNC, FREE FOR EVERYONE Load a track and mubo draws the waveform for you, so every formation change lands on the beat. Preview in real time, and slow playback to 0.5x or push it to 2.0x while you learn the counts. Music sync is included free—no Pro subscription required. REHEARSE WITH A REFERENCE VIDEO Add an MP4, MOV or M4V rehearsal video from your device. It stays muted and follows the same timeline and playback speed as your formation, so you can compare choreography and spacing without juggling two players. The video is copied into mubo's local storage and never uploaded. SHARE IT WITH THE TEAM - Rehearsal sheet (PDF), new in this version: one printable A4 page per formation, each with its formation number, its timecode and your notes. Print it, hand it out, mark it up at practice. - Export video (MP4) of the routine playing back with your music. - Send an animated GIF of a transition, or a still image of one formation, straight into the group chat. WORKS OFFLINE Everything lives on your device. Build formations on the bus, in the studio or backstage with no signal. mubo Pro removes the watermark and the ads, and unlocks HD export, MP4 video, stage props and unlimited projects.
