Tap once outside of the colored circle for each player in the game to pick the first player. Each tap will make a slide of the circle move out to show that a player was selected. The app will wait for a moment after the final tap and then pick one of the selected players as the first player of the game. You don't need to hold down to select a player, simply tap in the direction of the player. There's no 5-player limit like in other apps because you are not required to hold your finger on the display while selection is done. One person can tap for all players.
