Aera Access is an authentication and authorization solution used for Aera’s employees, partners and customers to access relevant Aera resources. Activation requires Norwegian BankID, and that all users are pre-registered implying that persons that have not been instructed by Aera or their employer to use Aera Access will not be able to activate it. Aera Access binds a user to a specific mobile device and enables the user to authenticate using the mobile device’s native fingerprint or FaceID. The user will receive a push notification when requesting to access an Aera resource, e.g. a customer portal, and is asked to verify with his/her FaceID, fingerprint or screen-lock.
